Currently, the U.S. Panel Advisory Board members consists of seven (7) members. The membership of the Advisory Board will be enhanced by one additional member from the U.S. Panel Executive Committee every two years after their term on the Executive Committee is completed. Advisory Board members vote on this addition every time.

US Panel Executive Committee Elected Members: |

1) The U.S. Panel Advisory Board have initially elected five (5) U. S. Panel Executive Committee members for an initial four year term (beginning October 1, 2006). After this initial term, the U.S. Panel Advisory Board and the U.S. Panel Executive Committee members will elect a new incoming member, every two years, when one current member rotates out of the U.S. Panel after serving for a minimum of four years. |
US Panel Executive Committee Rotation: |

The five elected members will serve in a progressive two year rotation of positions as follows: Incoming Member, Secretary, Vice Chair, Chair, and Past Chair. This two-year period is selected as optimal because it would allow the Chair to lead the U.S. effort for either the World Conference on Structural Control and Monitoring or the International Workshop on Structural Control and Monitoring (these two occur every other two-year period).

US Panel Executive Committee Members Promotion to Advisory Board: |

The U.S. Panel Executive Committee members who rotate off the committee will be promoted to serve on the Advisory Board of the U.S. Panel, to ensure continued leadership.

Term of office of a US Panel Executive Committee Member: |

The term of office begins on October 1 and extends for a minimum of four years and a maximum of 10 years.

Two currently serving ASCE committee chairs (SEI‐SC and EMI‐SHMC) serve as ex-officio members. The two (2) additional ex-officio members will be:
